I cover the logistical reasons below. Logistical concerns that made this workshop rushed. One unexpected logistical concern occurred just before the workshop started. We tested this during our tech rehearsal and the delay was acceptable (a few seconds) with the setup and bandwidths we had. But being rushed is never good.

Though it’s clearly sensible to keep a conference running on schedule, we’ve all attended meetings where rambling presenters, avoidable “technical issues”, incompetent facilitation, and inadequate logistics have made a mockery of the published program. Or so I thought.
