EU Says COVID Vaccination Certificates Expire After Nine Months

COVID-19 vaccination certificates used for international travel will not be valid after nine months, according to new ruled adopted by the European Commission. The proposals will take effect for the 27 European Union member states beginning Feb. 1. The validity period is based on guidance from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, which recommends that booster doses be administered six months after the completion of the first vaccination cycle.

Delta and ITA Announce Codeshare Agreement

Delta Air Lines and ITA Airways, Italy’s new flag carrier, have announced a codeshare agreement that places ITA Airways’ code on Delta-operated flights to a total of 92 destinations. In addition Delta will place its code on ITA Airways-operated flights to 33 destinations. The news of the Delta-ITA codeshare follows the launch of the Italian airline in October 2021, following the closure of its predecessor Alitalia.
