Congratulations to Ashley Geters and Joy Edwards for receiving the first two NACE Black Caucus Pay it Forward Scholarships!

Ashley Geters is a UH Conrad Hilton Alum with a passion for hospitality from La Marque, TX and has worked in hospitality since 2009 in Lubbock, Houston and now Galveston. She recently received her MBA from Walden University and owns a wedding planning company called Ashley Carlette Wedding Planning, LLC. Ashley initially attended Texas Tech University majoring in Architecture with a passion to build/design Hotels. After working in hotels she changed her major and transferred to UH to graduate from the Conrad Hilton College. 
 

Joy Edwards is from Arizona and currently serves as the Social Media Director in the Phoenix NACE Chapter. She is one of the youngest board of directors at only 23 years old. Joy recently received her Masters in Business Entrepreneurship from Southern New Hampshire University and also received her Bachelors in Hotel and Restaurant Management with an Event Management Certification in May of 2020.She recently received her Masters in Business Entrepreneurship from Southern New Hampshire University and also received her Bachelors in Hotel and Restaurant Management with an Event Management Certification in May of 2020.
