inDOHA 2022 – Discovering Qatar

With inVOYAGE in Qatar just days away the excitement is building, so our editorial team gathered a selection of activities from the many we have lined up, and here’s our sneak peek…

Hosted by the Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl - Doha, we open the programme by welcoming our inVOYAGERS to Qatar with a drinks reception and introduction to the destination. It’s a great opportunity to take in the panoramic views of this fabulous setting while hearing from our key partners and networking with fellow inVOYAGERS.

After the first day of meetings, the ‘Qatar FIFA World Cup 22 and Beyond’ experience will enable you to glimpse behind the scenes as Doha prepares to host this prestigious tournament. We will travel to the futuristic Al Janoub Stadium, designed by the late Dame Zaha Hadid DBE RA, and one of eight stadia to play host to the FIFA World Cup 22 games. Drawing inspiration from the sails of Qatar’s traditional dhow boats, the design pays homage to the fishing industry which has been integral to the region.

The experience will continue with a visit to the World of Football exhibition at the newly-opened 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum – the world’s most sophisticated museum dedicated to sport -  and will include a panel discussion featuring key senior figures from Qatar Tourism, Katara Hospitality and the Supreme Committee – and perhaps a last-minute surprise guest too…

The following day will kick off again with meetings before we break to tour the National Museum of Qatar. Designed to reflect Qatar’s famous desert rose, this vibrant and immersive space showcases the country’s rich heritage and culture with exhibits including manuscripts, jewellery and artifacts all of which have been meticulously conserved and restored to illustrate Qatar’s intriguing story. Groups will be led by a team of knowledgeable guides on a private tour of carefully curated exhibits to ensure you get the most out of your time at this really unique destination.

Throughout your stay at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski, inVOYAGERS will sample some of its inspiring restaurants and event spaces, whilst continually networking with top level industry professionals from across Europe, the Middle East, North and South America.

The final evening takes us to Nobu Doha rooftop terrace at the Four Seasons Doha for a night of networking and fun. Dinner and drinks will be served at this unique venue which overlooks the Arabian Gulf and offers views of the stunning city skyline. It promises to be an evening of celebration and entertainment where connections are formed and memories are made.
