China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market (COTTM), which took place last month, saw 235 exhibitors from 55 different countries showcase their destinations and travel services to 3,300 outbound tour operators from across China. The seventh edition of the B2B event saw several new destinations featured, including Malaysia, Morocco, Sicily, Turkey and Zambia.
Matt Thompson, Project Director of COTTM, said; “We are very pleased with the feedback from the show. COTTM exceeded expectations by attracting worldwide destinations in greater numbers and from more countries than before, emphasizing the strong growth in the region. The large number of serious outbound tour operators who attended the show is very encouraging and a sign of good things to come.”
The show also included a seminar programme for both visitors and exhibitors, with this year’s key topic being the advance of social media and digital marketing to target affluent Chinese consumers.
