Aston continues Indonesian expansion
Aston International has continued its fast-paced expansion in Indonesia with the opening of another new hotel in Java.
The Aston Imperium Purwokerto Hotel & Convention Center is a new four-star business hotel featuring 146 rooms and a range of conference facilities, including several mid-sized meetings rooms and a 1,200-pax capacity convention hall. Other facilities include a restaurant and coffee shop, spa, fitness centre, business centre and an outdoor swimming pool.
Located in the centre of Purwokerto, Central Java, the new hotel follows the recent opening of the Aston Makassar Hotel & Convention Center in Sulawesi, and continues the Jakarta-based company’s strategy of rolling out mid-range hotels and MICE facilities in major Indonesia’s cities.
Jules Brookfield, Aston International’s Director said; “The Aston Imperium Purwokerto Hotel & Convention Center deliver new international standard set up in the region and become favourite selection for hotel and conference facilities.”
The Purwokerto hotel soft-opened in December 2011, but was officially opened last week in a ceremony attended by the Governor of Central Java, Bibit Waluyo.
Purwokerto, which has a population of approximately 250,000, is the capital of the Banyumas Regency.
