Development Counsellors International (DCI) is pleased to announce the promotion of Hanna Gbordzoe to Vice President of Content & Social.

Since joining DCI, Hanna has grown the social media and content marketing service at DCI from a supplementary tactic for public relations programs to a full-fledged, strategic, and in-demand service for clients across practice areas.

Hanna has led and implemented social media strategies for countless places, advised on engagements and community management efforts, and crafted and oversaw content creation that drives engagement across economic development organizations, talent attraction campaigns, and destination marketing brands. She leads an ever-growing team with her vast knowledge of digital marketing trends.

In addition to building multiple brands’ social media presence from the ground up – as well as reviving dormant or underutilized accounts, Hanna educates her team, clients and c-suite executives around on social media best practices. This expertise is parlayed across content marketing for holistic blog and email marketing programs.

“While she is leading an in-demand and high-performing service for the agency, Hanna has also revived DCI’s own social channels and is working across divisions to ensure that we’re putting forward our best foot forward when it comes to content marketing best practices,” said Susan Brake, DCI’s Senior Vice President of Digital Operations and Strategy.

When she isn’t working to support clients or her team, Hanna is embracing her Passion for Places. Some of her most notable travel experiences include a solo trip to South Korea, attending the Amsterdam Music Festival in the Netherlands, visiting the church her grandfather was baptized at in Germany, riding a camel in Morocco, segway-ing around Paris, surfing in Hawaii, ATV-ing in Mexico, mini-golfing in Scotland and exploring the natural terrain in Iceland. All of these trips were – of course – documented on social media.

Hanna’s growth and dedication to the content and place marketing industry is inspiring and we can’t wait to see what she will accomplish in this expanded role!
