Pre-pandemic levels of European travel will not be achieved until 2024

Despite a strong summer rebound, international tourist arrivals to Europe are forecast to be 60% below 2019 by the end of 2021. European tourist arrivals were still down 77% half-way through the year relative to 2019. European air passenger growth gained momentum over the months of June (-69%), July (-57%) and August (-49%) compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Breeze Airways Premieres Its First Airbus A220

New low-cost carrier Breeze Airways has unveiled its first A220-300 during an event at Airbus’ US Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, AL. The aircraft is one of 80 A220s the airline has on order which are expected to join the carrier’s fleet across the next five years. The 126-seat two-class A220-300 includes a 36-seat premium cabin, called ‘Nicest’ seating, in a two-by-two configuration at the front of the plane.
