Aston opens Palembang MICE hotel
Aston International has opened of a new four-star hotel and conference centre in Palembang. The Aston Palembang Hotel & Conference Center is located mid-way between Palembang’s airport and the city centre, and has launched in time for the 2011 Southeast Asia Games which are being held in Palembang this November. The hotel features 163 guest rooms and suites and features extensive meeting facilities including a large ballroom with a capacity of up to 1,000 guests, plus several auxiliary meeting rooms.
“This newest Aston Hotel & Conference Center fits perfectly into our goal of becoming Indonesia’s leading hotel group for meetings and conferences by developing mid seized international standard four-star hotels with sophisticated meeting facilities throughout several Indonesian provincial capitals and secondary cities,” said Norbert Vas, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Aston International. “In the past 15 months we opened similar properties in Bangka, Pontianak, Serpong, Bogor, Bandung, Jayapura and most recently in Tanjung Pinang and have further Aston Hotels & Conference Centers under construction in Solo, Purwokerto, Jambi, Makassar and Banjarmasin,” he added.
