Maria Grasso

The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) has named Maria Grasso as senior vice president, convention division. Grasso will lead the convention sales and services team in growing convention bookings. Grasso joined the PHLCVB in 1999 as senior director of national accounts. She most recently served as vice president of sales and convention services.

Megan Martin

Software company JUNO has appointed Megan Martin, CMP, DES, MPA, as an account executive. Martin is currently serving in a contract position as associate director of conferences for the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. She previously worked as manager, partner events at RingCentral.

Ashlee Barton

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa, and Casino and Resort at Squaw Creek has announced Ashlee Barton as its new area director of sales and marketing. She has been promoted from director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. Barton has more than 15 years of experience working in hospitality, and began her career as an event coordinator at the Redmond Marriott Town Center Hotel in Washington.

Ursula Howard

Ursula Howard has been appointed director of sales at Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville Ponte Vedra Sawgrass. Howard has more than 25 years of hospitality experience, particularly in food and beverage in the Jacksonville area. She most recently served as director of catering for the Jacksonville Marriott.

Maria J. Saavedra

The Broadmoor has named Maria J. Saavedra as director of Northeast and international sales. Saavedra has more than 25 years of senior management experience working with luxury hotels, including Marriott International, Caribe Royal All Suites Resort, Rosen Hotels & Resorts, and Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Most recently, she worked as director of group and international sales at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

Rachel Wimberly

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) has honored Rachel Wimberly with the 2021 IAEE Woman of Achievement Award. The award recognizes an IAEE member who has led the way in advancing women through her leadership. Wimberly serves as executive vice president of business development, Tarsus U.S. for Tarsus Group. She has been a member of IAEE for 14 years and serves on the Mid-South Chapter Board. She also is a member of the Society for Independent Show Organizers and UFI, The Global Association for the Exhibition Industry.
